ACT Science and Engineering Challenge 2017
Give your students a day of building hovercrafts, bridges, earthquake-proof towers and catapults.
These are the kinds of activities available to students participating in The Science and Engineering Challenge. The Challenge is a national competition for year 10 (or year 9) high school students. It is held in regional venues right around Australia. Eight schools compete in eight fun activities that are based on the principles of science and engineering. Winners of regional events can qualify for the state ‘Super Challenges’ and state winners may qualify for the National Final.
The ACT Challenge will be held at the Australian National University and is designed to engage students in friendly competition based on the principals of science and engineering with a series of exhilarating activities. These activities include elements of design and creation, logic puzzles and teamwork.
Taking The Challenge is an excellent opportunity to inspire and change the lives of students around Australia in a highly effective and thoroughly enjoyable and educational experience.
