My field of study is marine biogeochemistry (which is a total mouthful). It means I look at the geo-chemistry of marine organisms. My favourite marine organism is a type of plankton called foraminifera (or foram for short). From them we can learn about the conditions of the ocean that they grow in - just from the chemistry of their shells!
