My name is Rachael and I'm currently undertaking my honours year as part of the Bachelor of Science (Honours). I’ve focussed my degree on biodiversity conservation and Indigenous cultural and natural resource management. My honours looks at whether African Savannah Elephants are vulnerable to climate change, and if so, how their response is impacting the surrounding ecosystem.

If I'm not out in the field chasing animals and plants of all shapes and sizes, I can be found checking out Canberra's coffee scene, watching a David Attenborough documentary or planning my next travel adventure. I'm hoping to one day be at the forefront of nature conservation, be a role model for women in STEM and saving the elephants, of course.
