Hi I'm Tangyao, an international student from China. I graduated with Master of Biotechnology, and I'm doing my PhD in science communication at the Centre for the Public Awareness of Science (CPAS). I also work as a communication assistant for the Joint Colleges of Science.

In my spare time, I often play musical instruments such as piano, clarinet and harmonica, and I also created some electronic music pieces for video projects. As a science student, I don't think I have to be a nerd or a serious person all the time. Because when science collide with inspiration and imagination, I could be the rock star!
